Mourning

Zhen Wei is Co-Chair of the Fine Art and Design Department at Beijing Normal University. He is also a China Regional Coordinator for the Global Art Project.

Zhen Wei created “Mourning” for the 2020 exchange in January, when the coronavirus was at its peak in China and just becoming a global pandemic. In an email to the Global Art Project in February, Zhen Wei, expressed:

“Thank you very much. The kindness, support and concern from you are very precious at this special time. The spread of Coronavirus pneumonia seems to become a global danger which I worry about more and more. I sincerely wish people all over the world health and safety.”
