Jackie created her art for her exchange partner in Congers, New York, USA. She is a Spain Regional Coordinator for the Global Art Project for Peace. For many years Jackie has participated in the exchanges as an individual and also as part of groups that she has organized.

“Taking Inspiration from POP art and their use of symbols and words, a word and 3 symbols representing Peace have been intertwined to create the design. The design is bright and colorful whilst the frame is dark and chaotic. When we are at peace, we are able to shut out the chaos of the world around us.

“What I like about creating artwork for the project is that it makes me think 'outside of the box', and challenges me to work in a different style from my norm, to create the result I want. Each year I listen to my heart, to feel what peace means to me at this time in my life in relation to the world around.”
